I am busy working on projects and finished items for the store. There is some neat ideas spinning, hard to work without 3/4 of the embellishments I would normally use, but I am leaving the final finish for the store.

and how is your New Year going?
Happy New Year to all!
Well my new year has been to say the most different ever! I have to share the last 2 weeks and you will understand why my projects are not yet up on the board as I expected! First I must say that my 2 buds & sisters The Jude and The B have this is the closest hug they will ever get from me unless we are at a funeral (that would be immediate family not an acquaintance - nice try B)this is a little Ryan/Balous/Welsh/Lawrence fiasco, mixed with a couple of BFF's.
Dec 24th - nice day, lovely weather,stopped to see Papa Earl and family - they like me and feel bad they have not given me all of my lost b'day and christmas presents from years past - they will (I want a new shiney car to make up for it Pops!) went to Sparta joined the Jude and her tribe for a little shopping and lunch...was fun
Dec 25th - went to the Balous household - saw the oldest from Vt. - he looks so old...and so like his uncle....same mannerism, played with the dog...saw the back of Bean's head quite a bit. took family photo - yeah, yeah, yeah I will get them done. Lawrence went to see Wacko Betty - she is fine and in a very happy place. I know she loved the gift - finally after years of saying - "if you don't like it - I will" - this is my payback!
Dec 26th - did nothing...I mean nothing, not feeling up to par - oh-got the call from Balous - she thinks she has broken her foot! really? Really. 3 breaks and 1 stress fracture - so swollen in an air cast and needs to see an ortho, can we say calcium deficiency???
Dec 27th - still did nothing, still not feeling my best...go to work. Balous is alive, took 3 nephews to lunch, had a nice time, sat across from Bean so I saw his face, good thing he is cute with all those freckles....had a good time and hopefully learned how leopards NEVER change their spots....really I am not kidding!
Dec 28th - go to work, come home 1 hour later, really sick
Dec 29th - go to Dr's, got the flu - tested positive for that, meds a couple shots in the butt to kick me into gear...but still not to good
Dec 30th - whine...I am so going to whine and irritable and just plain miserable. I have the flu...are Art is hungry? great get a sandwich buddy!Go to bed early, do not care about the damn ball, I have dealt with it for 49 years and no need to handle it on the 50th year, I am sick and whine.
Jan 1st - wake up 3 am, chest is now sore...great I have to go back to work tomorrow night and getting worse...can anything else happen? Balous is hobbling around, out of work for 6 weeks, great I lost holiday pay and still continuing to whine. chest is still sore, I say nothing, Senior Asshole (SA) is hungry again. really? he needs a chef.
Jan 2nd - get up, still got this pain, right arm is sore, not like the annurism that the B insists she's had for 3 weeks though, this is different. take nap to go to work, speak to SA and say about pains, might go to work, then go to ER if not better, not sure, need to go to work, leave, call work-go to ER. They take me right in, thought I was having a dream, in comes a nurse in white dress, white hose and wearing her cap - OMG are we back in the 70's??? wow! Balous comes with middle boy - he is cool with this, she is running around in an air cast and no crutches - easier to get around. I have been told enzymes are elevated, they are sending me to Winston hospital - I pick hospital - call the Jude & the B - they recommend other hospital, I tell nurse and then there are comments made and they change all plans. I am prepped and ready for the ride, mind you Balous is happy to go, "You are my sister" she keeps saying....I inspect the ambulance crew-they know Vicky - The B's sister, so I let them know I know her and Papa Earl, every bump I said, I am telling Vicky....do I get the family discount for this unexpected ride-keep in mind I did not get the sirens and lights, so there should be a discount for this ride.middle nephew is happy he got to follow the ambulance and do 85 mph - he is very happy.
Jan 3rd - 2 am other hospital - Balous is now on her crutches - is the foot swelling? then the very cute doc-who grabbed my kindle fire to play with it gives me the word, YOU HAVE HAD a HEART ATTACK!! What? me? SA has told the General, that I had 99% blockage, I could have gone to work, I did have 1% left...nice...oh yeah, he is a nervous dog! I have 2 blockages - 1 99% and the other 75%, I am now the proud owner of 2 stents (is that how you spell it?) Wow and now 4 new meds a day...great..my mothers blood gene has been passed to me. I have high cholesterol, no I do not have high blood pressure, my sugar is perfect...way to go sue...WackoBetty has taken a fall and is banged up, no one knows how, she is taken for x-rays...the General is going nuts - 1 sister with a broken foot, 1 sister in hospital with a heart attack and now Wacko Betty...what is next, should she go to NC (no-no-no), you stay there we got it here! Balous is afraid if the General comes down she too will get hurt, we cannot have this who will lead us and tell us what to do, and organize us!!! Besides I have no spare room and Balous has none either, plus the expenses...stay in Vt.
jan 4th - Release from hospital @ noon...yeah, I have no idea how I look, I throw on clothes and leave-yes I walk, no wheel chair for me..I am walking! the B picks me up, Jordan and I are hungry, the B is nervous she is driving in Winston...what would she do in a big city!! We go to Olive Garden, eat and I feel better, course I am sore, but I eat soup and salad and bread sticks. home james! Momma Nelta called me, no offer of a car but she is checking on me as the B is driving and a transfer(?)what I call a tractor trailer is weaving with the wind, we make it, she kept her speed, mind and got us safely to Elkin.
they drop me off, I go in, change clothes, I want a shower, sorry cannot happen til tomorrow, I am bruised, battered and then I look in the mirror...OMG my hair is standing straight up and I think I have the Alfalfa look going on...next time I speak to the B I said something and her comment - "It looked better than the day before" yup - thanks bud!!
Jan 5th - Balous b'day - happy what ever to hell you are, have a good day, I am bored, reading american Heart Assoc freebie to see what life altering events I have to make, bored, sore and starting to whine. call The Jude and the B - they are lounging and playing the bubble game...nice...SA wants to know if I am hungry? really he is hungry again? didn't he eat 12 hours ago???
Jan 6th - today SA is taking me to the store, I am getting supplies and I will work on stuff at home so I can get things posted! yeah something to do. I will see the Jude & The B they miss me. I miss them, but they cannot hug.
So how is your New Year so far? Mine in better, I have cute back drastically on smoking, take several meds a day, eat 4 baby aspirin a day, home til the 17th irritating SA (all I have to do is watch something on tv when the Waltons marathon starts - he needs a hobby!)

Welcome 2012!
Welcome to a New Year! I am reaching out here and starting my own blog. Something I have contemplated for a long time and dove in! I have a small Scrapbook Store, teach classes, sell finished product and sell scrapbook supplies. My store and space is small, but I hope to expand as time goes on. I am always looking for new ideas and love to create my own. I have decided that I need to get my name back out there and so here I go. Starting a new year with a new attitude. Wish me luck, keep checking back, it is my thoughts to post at least 3 times a week what I am teaching, creating and selling!
